Matty films because he wants to, his content, his choice. I add the extras, sounds, music, photos, memories and stickers. This is because Matty likes to be rewarded for his “hard work” by me adding a surprise to the final edit. That way when he watches for the first time he sees a surprise, this makes him happy which makes us happy. We have had a troll follow Mattys videos and dislike anything that’s not his jigsaws, there is really no need for this. I’m not going to ask Matty to explain his choices and I am not going to defend us as parents supporting his innocent, jigsaw, lego, diamonds and drive with us videos. Matty does not have enough traffic and subscribers for this to be an accident, so I’m pretty sure it’s someone we know. This has been a learning lesson for Matty, and we have managed to turn your dislikes into a positive. We know he doesn’t like listening to his own voice BUT he still wants the videos made. HIS CHOICE, to show the people that are important to him. They are his memories that he wants to save. We are leaving the house rarely, we never get out of the van anymore. We are completely self sufficient with medical gear, a loo and PPE if needed. We are permitted to go out via the government guidelines with a letter to confirm this, don’t put the kid off going out into his happy place in the van. He sits and listens to a dvd whilst watching life go by out of the window. This has been his life for nearly a year. It’s the only place he switches off, the only place. We are permitted to take him out in the van, we can’t go to parks like other people. It’s on the government website and agreed by Mattys consultant. We are breaking no rules, we have more of a chance of a medical emergency at home with a artificial airway and an active kid than we do when confined in the van.

Matty is a 14 year old autistic super hero from the English Riviera. He has recently weaned off a ventilator that he had been attached to since birth. His medical needs are very complex which has given him a very limited life. He is now thriving and experiencing life in a way he has not been able to before. Please be kind.
He is time lapsing his activities during isolation. This is his way of communicating with friends and family.
Videos are roughly filmed and edited, they are a diary of life during mattys covid days. Not professional or for critics. Just a family getting by in these weird days, keeping a diary to look back on in years to come.
Time lapsing and YouTube have become an important part of Mattys life during being isolated from literally everyone. No school, family or friends, so this is keeping him focused and active. Please be kind, in reality he is 4-5 years old and I am an exhausted parent trying to keep him busy and happy. Stay safe. ❤️
