Описание: Here's a video of the vibrating crystals of barium (and sometimes calcium) sulfate in one of the polar vacuoles of a closterium, a type of green algae. The crystals vibrate due to collisions with the faster moving liquid molecules around them, called Brownian motion. Though many scientists have theorized on their purpose; the crystals function, and reason for the accumulation of barium, is not yet understood.
