We Were ALONE on Faroe Islands' Most Beautiful Hike

Описание: Let's explore this hidden gem of the Faroe Islands that only locals know about! This hike was absolutely wild from start to finish, but it was such a fun and amazing one!!

The drive up to Klakkur trailhead was legitimately scary (the road is ROUGH), the trail turned into a mud pit that swallowed my entire shoe, but the 360-degree views from the summit? They made it my favorite hike in the entire Faroe Islands and possibly in all the ones I did in Europe. This place literally looks like it's from another planet.

The terrifying drive up (almost gave up)

📍 PLANNING YOUR KLAKKUR HIKE:
Search "Klakkur trailhead" on Google Maps to find parking. The road up is really rough as of September 2024 - you might want to park in town and walk up if you don't have a 4x4. The trail itself is beautiful but can be EXTREMELY muddy (as you'll see in this video 😅).

CRAZY FAROE ISLANDS FACT: Did you know you can take a helicopter as public transport here?! I spotted one flying overhead and learned that helicopters connect the islands for an affordable price. It's literally on the Atlantic Airways website.

The Faroe Islands honestly feels like being the last humans on Earth. The landscapes are so dramatic and unique - Iceland comes close, but nothing compares to this place.
