Anonymous Bar | Prague

Описание: It was about time I tried out some of the fun places in Prague. After asking around one place got mentioned over and over. Anonymous Bar.

I did a quick Google search and seen tons of good reviews for the cocktail bar. If they were to be believed it was hands down going to be a great experience, and to top it off the sun was shining and it was freakishly warm for a late October evening. The perfect excuse to leave ethe coat at home, dress up a bit and wear the new blazer I'd splashed out on.

Feeling good and looking good (or so I thought) I headed into the bar and as luck would have it we got directed to the best seats in the house. Chairs by a small table on a mezzanine overlooking the rest of the bar.
Quirky gothic looking pictures and furnishings adorned the walls but from what I could tell apart from it feeling like Dracula's living room I didn't see anything associated with Guy Fawks and his attempt to blow up the houses of Parliament, which was what I'd read online.
It wasn't so important but when the waiter came over to give us our drinks menu's I couldn't help ask about which drinks included the fun displays.
His confused expression gave me a puzzled look of my own. He told me there were rumours flying around about the bat and not to believe everything I read online.
Hmm, well 'screw it' I thought. If somethings going to happen in this place it's most likely to happen after I've bought the most expensive drink. A fiery bourbon with red wine cocktail called Hot Fawks. It was around 10 euros which, by capital city standards isn't so expensive afterall.

Suddenly the lights went out and as the waiter climbed the stairs with his face covered by the V for Vendetta style mask I knew at least something was about to take place.
A prodigy style music filled the background as the hot fiery liquid he was holding began to burn blue. He passed the fiery stuff between his hands and magically didn't seem to burn himself before bowing and returning to his position behind the bar. The lights came back and normal music resumed.

For sure it was it was a good experience and I'd recommend the bar to anyone visiting the city. Just remember rto take your reading glasses for when you get given the 'secret' menu after your first drink ;)
