WHY DOES IT LOOK WEIRD? - The original footage that was used to make this upscaled version, was taken from the British Pathe channel. The original footage was already in poor condition for being over 85 years old, and when it was uploaded to YouTube, it was in a 480p resolution...which is small enough to look good on the screen of an Iphone Generation 1 (2007)...but not today's modern 4k computer monitors or televisions. The A.I. I used is designed to take low-quality images, even out the colors and contrasts, sharpen the image, and remove pixelation blocking. The effect is that the image should look better when scaled up to a larger size...but when you start off with a low-resolution video like I did here...you can only expect so much. The A.I. cannot invent details that aren't there. So what you see is the highest quality image, from the poorest quality source. That being said, the higher the quality of the source, the better the quality of the final product.
