In this study we examine the intervals that take place in the major scale, each of these intervals is in relation to the Tonic of the key. For example: C - D - major 2, C - E - major 3, C - F - Perfect 4th,
C - G - perfect 5, C - A - major 6, C - B - major 7, C - C - perfect octave. We also categorize these diatonic intervals in terms of dissonance (requires resolution) and consonance (state of resolution).
