We do check the cow internally, as she may be having problems, we feel inside her to see if calf is in the correct presentation, that it can be birthed naturally with no intervention. This is extremely important to guarantee a successful, safe birth, for both the mother and the calf.
This cow has been showing signs of birthing since yesterday. The length of time that it has been, is a sign of possible complication. We want to check to see if the calf is coming backwards/ breech, as there has been no progress.
You can see by the calmness of the cow, that her exam is not stressful to her, she is busy eating hay as we check inside, for her and her calf's safety! Keep watching, and see some answers, the reason of her slow birthing process!
