The correct carried equipment can turn challenges into mere inconveniences. The wrong equipment can lead to failing to complete a ride or even dangerous conditions like hypothermia. The way we pack this equipment can impact our speed and effort, saving or siphoning precious energy though added weight or aerodynamic resistance.
In this video, we will look out how to pack for brevets to be well prepared with a minimal impact on our riding effort.
For shorter riders, rear storage like a Tailfin or a top bag on a rack may be suitable if seatpost bags rub your tires. When combined with a large top tube bag, you can achieve substantial storage.
