Replacing the front wheel hub assembly on a 4th Gen Chrysler or Dodge minivan.

Описание: DISCLAIMER: This job IS NOT for the faint of heart or for those expecting an easy time. This one gave me quite a bit of trouble, both physically and in the pocketbook. As always with these repair videos as a whole (not just mine but EVERYONE'S), you proceed at your own risk, but I'm putting it here because of the difficulty I had.
PLEASE watch the video in its entirety at least once through to learn the steps and all I had to go through before I made that old hub assembly leave the steering knuckle.
Don't be surprised if you end up beating the hub assembly out the back side for awhile, that's how I ended up getting mine out (along with heating around the mating surface on the steering knuckle).
I will say this: heat and penetrating oil are your friends, USE THEM, but use the heat conservatively (there ARE a bunch of rubber boots you don't wanna burn up). If you don't have an acetylene torch, you can pick up a map gas torch starter kit for $50 at the hardware store (and I think additional cans of the gas are like $10-15). It'll be WELL WORTH IT.
Additionally, this video is for the front hubs ONLY, the rears are somewhat different.

With that being said, this video obviously shows you how to gain access to the hub and goes over how to extract it from the steering knuckle (or how to extract your existing steering knuckle to take to the shop to press out the old hub). It is for the fourth generation of Chrysler and Dodge minivans (2001-2007 model years).
