Tucked deep within a quiet forest in Sweden, Olaf grew up in a humble cottage surrounded by towering pines, soft moss underfoot, and the gentle rhythm of nature. In this video, I begin stitching the pages that tell the story of his childhood — a place of stillness, simplicity, and a lifelong love of growing things.
Using layers of vintage textiles, soft earthy tones, and slow, mindful stitching, this page starts to bring Olaf’s early world to life — the forest, the cottage, and the quiet beginnings that shaped the gardener he would become at Railway Cottage.
This is a slow, start-to-finish stitching session — perfect to relax with, stitch along, or simply enjoy the story unfolding in thread.
