On September 2, 2024, Nagaland's Transport Secretary led a delegation to Dimapur Railway Station for a consultative meeting at the railway executive lounge. This visit is part of the ongoing efforts following the August 6, 2023, launch of the AMRIT BHARAT STATION SCHEME, under which Dimapur Railway Station was selected for redevelopment into a world-class facility. During the visit, the Secretary addressed media concerns about delays in construction, attributing them to ongoing land encroachment issues. He assured that the Nagaland government would provide full support to the railway authorities to expedite the project's completion.
