Sustainable Manufacturing and Service Businesses
This lecture discusses what it means to be a sustainable business or engage in sustainable manufacturing. This includes issues related to industrial ecology, reuse of raw materials, and product reuse. Cohen introduces the technical challenges and the key financial issues to business sustainability. He then discusses the organizational and management challenges of sustainable business and how they can be overcome. Cohen concludes this lecture with a discussion on the role of government and public policy in promoting sustainable business practices.
