The Mercedes-Benz Arocs is a heavy-duty truck, introduced by Mercedes-Benz. The Mercedes-Benz Arocs is aimed at the construction sector; available bodies include Mercedes-Benz Arocs dump-trucks, Mercedes-Benz Arocs concrete mixers, and Mercedes-Benz Arocs tractors, with Mercedes-Benz Arocs two axles, Mercedes-Benz Arocs three axles, or Mercedes-Benz Arocs four axles.[2] Weights range from 18 to 41 tonnes. The Arocs has two main variants - the "Mercedes-Benz Arocs Loader" and the "Mercedes-Benz Arocs Grounder". The latter Mercedes-Benz Arocs is a heavy-duty variant, with thicker 9mm frame rails. All Mercedes-Benz Arocs engines are Euro 6 compliant:

Longer Heavier Vehicles (LHVs), also called super lorries, is a classification of large goods vehicle (LGV) (formerly Heavy Goods Vehicles, HGVs) in the United Kingdom. LHVs are not presently allowed to operate on UK roads, being longer and/or heavier than the legal limits, which as of 2009 allowed LGVs up to a maximum of 6 axles and 44 tonnes (43.3 long tons; 48.5 short tons) of fully laden vehicle weight, and a maximum overall length of 16.5 m (54 ft 2 in) for articulated lorries, or 18.75 m (61 ft 6 in) for drawbar lorries.

Since the early 2000s, some haulage companies in the UK had been investigating potential LHV designs and lobbying for a change in the law. Various types of LHV exist, and most of the larger types involve using extra axles, and different trailer arrangements, forming so called road trains. LHVs are supported by some hauliers as a way to increase productivity and reduce costs. Their introduction however faces opposition from rail freight, road safety and environmental groups, who want a general reduction in road traffic, and from portions of the general public over general safety and quality of life issues.
Despite the 2008 DfT ruling on LHVs, Lincoln based haulage company Denby Transport, one of the most active proponents of LHVs who had developed their own 25.25 m (82 ft 10 in) long 60-tonne (59.1-long-ton; 66.1-short-ton) Denby Eco-Link LHV, is attempting to have their vehicle legalised at 44 tonnes (43.3 long tons; 48.5 short tons), under an existing UK legal loophole dating from 1986.
A road train, roadtrain or land train is a trucking concept used in remote areas of Argentina, Australia, Mexico, the United States, and Canada to move freight efficiently.The term "road train" is most often used in Australia. In the United States the terms "triples", "turnpike doubles", and "Rocky Mountain doubles" are commonly used for longer combination vehicles (LCVs).[1] A road train consists of a relatively conventional tractor unit, but instead of pulling one trailer or semi-trailer, a road train pulls two or more of them. In the United States, trucks on public roads are limited to two trailers (two 28 ft (8.5 m) and a dolly to connect. The limit is 63 ft (19.2 m) end to end). Some states allow three trailers, although triples are usually restricted to less populous states such as Idaho, Oregon and Montana, plus the Ohio Turnpike and Indiana East-West Toll Road. Triples are used for long-distance less-than-truckload freight hauling (in which case the trailers are shorter than a typical single-unit trailer) or resource hauling in the interior west (such as ore or aggregate). Triples are sometimes marked with "LONG LOAD" banners both front and rear. "Turnpike doubles" -- tractors towing two full-length trailers—are allowed on the New York Thruway and Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90), Florida's Turnpike, Kansas Turnpike (Kansas City - Wichita route) as well as the Ohio and Indiana toll roads. [10] The term "road train" is not commonly used in the United States; "turnpike train" has been used, generally in a pejorative sense.
