Fallen Greensboro police officer escort | Watch Live
Law enforcement agencies across the state are escorting the body of fallen Greensboro police sergeant Philip Dale Nix from the medical examiner's office in Raleigh back to Greensboro. Nix will be taken to a funeral home on West Gate City Blvd.
Nix died Saturday when police said he tried to stop two men from stealing beer at a Sheetz gas station in Colfax, NC. Police said one of the men shot Nix when he tried to intervene.
The two men and a woman were arrested the next day in Winston-Salem. They all face various charges in the crime.
