My '82 FL250 idling after I installed the larger pilot jet in the new Mikuni VM28. The pilot jet was originally 17.5, and now it is 50. The air screw is backed out 2 turns currently.
I have a 60 pilot jet, so I may install that and see if i can get the air screw under 1.5 turns out.
This is idling AFTER it has warmed up fully. The initial plug chop showed a "1 cream coffee" colour on the porcelain tip. I was unable to see the base. I will be running many more plug chops shortly. I may lower the needle one clip to get a richer mix at WOT as I'm kinda scared to give it fulle throttle for long periods. ~1/2 throttle was getting about 5400 RPM which sounded like the old stock Keihin carb when it went lean at WOT...
Apologies for the sideways video. Doesn't look this way on my G3. I suppose it auto-rotates it.
