Impunity has been a snatcher of life, livelihoods and hopes on Kenyan roads. And this has shown its morbid face again as has been exposed by a crash in Gilgil, where 9 people have died. A heavy-freight vehicle was overtaking when it rammed a Nairobi-bound matatu. The accident happened while curfew hours were in force and the matatu was carrying more passengers than is legally permitted.
