Tips on How to Differentiate Genuine Final Transistors from Counterfeit or Fake Transistors
As you may know, there are a lot of counterfeit/fake final transistors, or other large transistors widely used in audio power amplifiers, circulating these days. For example, the ones I mentioned and illustrated in this video are the Toshiba 2SC5200 and 2SA1943 transistors.
These transistors aren't the only ones being counterfeited; many other brands, such as Sanken and MJL, are also counterfeit.
I hope these tips are helpful, so you don't get tricked or buy counterfeit final transistors, which can have fatal consequences for your power amplifier.
