3 Things to Avoid During Freshers Week

Описание: Starting uni is honestly such a crazy experience. Freshers week feels like a blur and you kinda just go with the flow but looking back there’s definitely a few things I wish I did differently. So if you’re heading to uni this September here’s 3 things I’d avoid if I was doing it all over again:

1: Do not and I repeat DO NOT only stick with the first group of people you meet. It’s so easy to latch onto whoever’s around but uni is huge and you’ll click with different people at different times. Don’t box yourself in too early cos half way through the year you might realise you don’t vibe with that initial group and feel as though it’s hard to make new friends as everyone’s already made groups now.

2: Do not spend all your money on takeout trust me it adds up. I get it, it’s quick and it’s easy and in freshers it feels like everyone’s ordering food at 2am. But it adds up so fast and before you know it half your student loan is gone and you’re stressed tf out waiting for your next payment to come through.

3: Join at least one society. This one I actually regret not doing myself. When you join later on it feels harder to commit, but if you join in freshers you naturally build your routine around it. Also I think societies are one of the best ways to make proper friends too.
