On Saturday, December 7th, we closed out Miami Art Week with our annual Breakfast in the Park. We were honored to feature a lecture by Manuela Moscoso, Executive and Artistic Director of CARA – Center for Art, Research and Alliances, presented as part of the Steven and Dorothea Green Critics’ Lecture Series. In her talk, she shared how the practice of listening can help forge new cultural frameworks for artists and connect the artistic, intellectual, and social conditions of artmaking.
Since 1981, the Steven & Dorothea Green Critics’ Lecture Series has introduced internationally renowned artists, museum curators, scholars, and critics to the South Florida Community. These speakers have shaped art history through their scholarly, creative, and leadership contributions. They have inspired us to think critically, investigate further, and consider the discourses and practices that shape the world of art.
