The Brauneck Großer Höhenweg is a popular panoramic trail in the Bavarian Prealps, located near Lenggries, Germany.
Typically accessed via the Brauneck cable car, this moderately challenging hike offers stunning views over the Isar Valley and the surrounding Alpine landscape, including the Karwendel and Wetterstein ranges on a clear day.
The trail itself is a high-altitude path that winds its way along the mountain ridge. It generally takes around 3 to 3.5 hours to complete a loop of approximately 6 to 7 kilometers, with ascents and descents totaling around 300-400 meters.
