Trump tours 'Alligator Alcatraz' immigration facility that houses migrants awaiting deportation

Описание: President Donald Trump visited Florida for a guided walking tour of a new immigration detention facility dubbed "Alligator Alcatraz." The center, which gets its nickname from its remote location in the Everglades, is surrounded by alligators, crocodiles and pythons that provide a natural barrier so inmates cannot escape. It is being built on an isolated airstrip about 50 miles west of Miami and could house up to 3,000 illegal migrants as they await deportation. The detention facility is estimated to cost about $450 million a year to run, and will largely be paid for by the federal government. Florida is expected to be reimbursed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA.
