In recent years the Grimsby & Immingham Light Railway has been primarily used as a diversionary line.
Only a few workings have ventured down the line. Refreshing therefore that after more than 20 years, the line has finally become a freight destination once more.
"Life on the Light Railway once again"
In order to unload the train without blocking Gilbey Road crossing, the train was broken up into three parts.
The offloading process is all done at H.Cope & Sons Ltd Grimsby.
After the offloading process is complete. The locomotive pulls forward and runs round to Great Coates sidings No.1 signal box where it will perform a brake test before heading off onto the mainline.
Finally we see 66745 powering out of Great Coates working 6Z67 Grimsby Pyewipe Road S.B to Doncaster Down Decoy GBRf
