Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band's psychedelic delta blues masterpiece. In my opinion the album was unfairly panned by music critics...when I first heard it I went into psychedelic satori! I love it to this day...the Magic Band is truly magical...
I Feel Like Ahcid, being a psychedelic variation on the Death Letter theme by Son House. "ya gotta trust us, before ya turn to dust" Don Van Vliet (the Captain)
I read that Don Van Vliet didn't like the added phase shifter; It would be interesting if they could remaster/remix removing that effect.
If you heard this album back in the day and cast it aside, give it another listen, you just might find you like it...
