It is with great pleasure that we announce the launch of a series of lectures and videos, titled as “Dr Sivakumar Academy” as a YouTube channel. The various topics were meticulously collated by my very sincere friend and ex-colleague Dr Anil Singhi, Senior Consultant Cardiologist from Medica Hospital, Kolkata over the past few years and tabulated in an easily readable format. Dr Anil worked with me for almost a decade and has been instrumental in many previous academic ventures. It gives me great significance as he has planned to release them when I complete a little over 25 years in cardiology since 1997. Dr Anil Singhi played a major role in our previous venture to release the e-textbook of echocardiography with 24 topics exactly 10 years ago during the Annual Pediatric cardiac society of India conference in Chennai in 2012, which has now crossed many thousands of views and has been viewed in many continents by the budding pediatric cardiology fellows. This new venture “Dr Sivakumar Academy” is released close to the upcoming Annual PCSI conference to be held in Kolkata. Apart from a few didactic lectures, there are multiple videos of complex transcatheter interventions where emphasis is given for imaging, hemodynamics, techniques, and discussions with the leading pediatric interventional cardiologists in the world as part of various live transmissions. The Videos are grouped in nine parts based on various common topics. The link of the video group is shared below. The links will open a playlist consisting of multiple videos of live cases and teaching material. I am sure the videos improve the understanding of junior cardiology colleagues and shape them into successful clinicians. I promise to periodically add more and more lectures in this channel to enrich the knowledge shared among cardiologists across the world.
