In this video we rewire a washing machine stator to a 9 coil x 4 motor, build a mount for the stator and rotor. Then we hook it up to the water wheel and test it.
We give you the pros and cons of building your own stand for the stator motor.
We try 2 different gearing setups for the waterwheel.
We first try a 45/1 ratio, but it is not spinning the wheel at a constant rotation while under load from the generator motor. We then changed it to a 17/1 ratio but did not get a good supply of voltage to activate the charge controller.
