In addition they are ideal for use to keep plaits in place whilst traveling and keep natives long locks hay free, so they arrive at the event clean, tidy and ready for the ring.

There is the option of a zip from chin to chest to make fitting easier.

The Shiny Show Rug is designed to be worn with our Shiny Show Hood to offer complete nose to tail coverage for the show season, keeping coat super shiny and dust free.

It can also be used alone or with any other self fixing hood.

Here’s how to put on The Shiny Show Hood and Shiny Show Rug from Snuggy Hoods.

Firstly – undo the Velcro tabs by the chin and the zip. Hoods can come with or without a zip.

Simply pull the lightweight hood over the horse’s head. The shiny show hood is made from nylon spandex – it’s durable yet stretchy making it so easy to use.

Attach through the front legs – adjust and secure the Velcro surcingle.

Straighten the mane underneath – Do up the zip which starts at the chest and ends at the chin. This hood is ideal for keeping plaits in place in the stable the night before a show and for keeping the horse dust free. When travelling it stops hay getting into manes.

The Shiny Show Hood and Rug Set is popular with showing professionals as it gives the horse shine. Designed for indoor use – the rug can be worn underneath a turn out rug – adding shine to a clipped coat - for ultimate snuggy flexibility.

The horse here is 16.2 – the hood is a medium large and the rug is a 6’3. Top Snuggy’s tip - go for a smaller size – it’s a stretchy & generous fit.

The set is machine washable – always do up the velcros before washing – to keep it pristine.

At the tail end – the fillet string and top of the rug is elasticated for snug-ness.
