Pune Kidnapping: Police Hunt Brothers Who Abducted Woman After Chili Powder Attack | India Today

According to Additional Superintendent Janesh Biradar, the attackers intercepted the family's two-wheeler in a four-wheeler and threw chili powder into their eyes before forcefully taking the girl. The police have registered a case against two brothers, Zaheer Haroon and Ayaan Haroon, who are residents of the same locality. Janesh Biradar stated that 'the incident took place around 4 PM yesterday' and confirmed that the vehicle used in the crime has been recovered through CCTV footage and technical evidence. While Hindu organizations initially launched aggressive protests and called for a 'Bhigwan Bandh', they withdrew after police revealed that the victim and the accused were known to each other. A massive manhunt is currently underway to locate the victim and the two suspects as investigations continue into technical leads and family interrogations.
