Starved Rock State Park - Saint Louis Canyon Trail - Best Chicago Day Trips

Описание: Starved Rock State Park makes for a great day trip just 1.5 hrs from Chicago!
It has over 2600 acres, 13 miles of trails, and 18 canyons to explore. We took the Saint Louis Canyon trail with a small waterfall for the kids. Approximately 50-60 minutes roundtrip from the Visitors Center, this one is great for older kids. With its stairs and a creek - babies and strollers are a no-go for this hike. Even though it's best viewed in the Spring - our Summer visit came 2 days after a heavy rain, so we were fortunate to have a small waterfall.
