This video explores why body image is a subject we should be thinking about, where we all get messages about body image and, perhaps most importantly, what we can do to support our children, young people, and perhaps ourselves.
Some of the things discussed will be things that anyone can do to support a child, even if you do not have parental responsibility, whether you are an uncle, aunt, grandparent or other adult in a child’s life. They are important even if your child does not share worries about this.
If your child is in a Devon or Torbay school in year 5, 6, 7, or 8 they may do some work in school about body image, you can also see the videos here. However, if your child has not done the work in school, we think you will find this video useful to help you support a child in your care around the topic of body image.
