Luciano Berio - Sequenza I for Flute Solo

Born in 1990 in Seoul, Cho was enrolled at the preparatory division of the Korea National University of Arts before making his debut recital for the Kumho Prodigy Concert Series at age 12. That year, he also appeared as soloist with the Vladivostok Broadcasting Symphonic Orchestra. He has subsequently won several national competitions such as Ewha & Kyunghyang Competition and Korea Flute Association Competition. In 2005, he moved to the United States to commence his studies with Michel Debost at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where he was a full-scholarship recipient. Cho performed with the Korean Symphony Orchestra and Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2012, he gave a solo recital for the Yamaha Korea Rising Artist Series and was afterwards chosen as the first Yamaha Music Korea Scholarship holder. He was also showcased by the British Flute Society Convention as part of the Competition Winners’ Showcase.
