Aluminum and Mercury Amalgam Reaction

Описание: What looks like a mystical creature from outer space is actually the process of mercury combining with aluminum to form amalgam. The reason for this interesting event is that some of the amalgam dissolves in mercury and rises to the top. With this rise, contact with oxygen in the air occurs and white aluminum oxide is formed as a result of the reaction. The process is interrupted by this oxide, but the reaction continues to take place from the sides and the fibers continue to rise from the sides.
