A collaborative effort between lots of talented Sonic game modders, Sonic Colors: Project Re-Rainbow aims to not only fix Sonic Color Ultimate's various visual inconsistencies compared to the original game from 2010 but even improve upon it and bring the visual fidelity worthy of the name "Colors". Not only that, but audio and animation fixes, remade cutscenes and other quality of life improvements.

This is common knowledge by now that Sonic Colors Ultimate is anything but ultimate, in fact it's a pretty bad remaster of an otherwise good Sonic game. It's not the worst game remaster/remake I've ever seen... thankfully... but it's pretty high up there, to the point I'd urge people to not even bother getting this game on PC and just emulate the original Wii version via Dolphin.

Now with Project Re-Rainbow here I can actually condone buying the Sonic Colors Ultimate on PC. It's annoying it took prominent modders from the Sonic community bring the game up to par fidelity wise to the how Sonic Colors looked like in 2010... but it's not the first time SEGA botched Sonic game console ports (see Sonic Adventure DX and BetterSADX).

I'm just glad this game will be properly played and enjoyed this time, especially on PC.
