Artist Biography: Starting life in 2005 as a more or less straight ahead horrorpunk outfit (albeit with heavy leanings toward pop punk and thrash metal) Murderland has survived multiple lineup changes, paternity leave and the cruel, unyielding umbrage of early middle age, continuing to release music and sweat it out in Southland dives whenever possible.
With the release of its third album, Splitsville, Murderland (which features members of The All Brights, Versus the World and The Bombpops) showcases their most personal and cynical collection of songs to date, taking the listener down a lonely road to self-destruction, isolation and ultimately twisted redemption.

About The Video: "In the video for Splitsville, the band plays to a handful of distracted, apathetic patrons of a sleazy (albeit well themed) dive bar,” says front man Mike Kinshella. “This vision of booze-soaked loneliness sums up the themes of Splitsville (both the album and titular song) but, somewhat more accurately, sums up the themes of Murderland's career."
