Guwahati to Shillong to Cherrapunji | 200kms Ride | Tour of North East ep.02

Описание: Flagging off from Guwahati - This is the Second episode of my Tour of North East India. In this episode I'm riding from Guwahati to Shillong to Cherrapunji, covering a distance of approximately 200 KMS. It was amazing experience riding in chilly weather, from hilly muddy patches to smooth tarmac roads. Shillong is a beautiful hill station in northeast India and is also capital of the state of Meghalaya. Cherrapunji in Meghalaya, also known as Sohra is just over 50 KMS away from Shillong. It has earned itself ‘Guiness book of world record’ for being ‘The wettest place on planet earth’ with an average rainfall of over 10,000 mm annually.
Cherrapunji spellbinds you with never-ending green mountains, clouds, foggy and pleasant weather at all times. However, the weather is unpredictable, and clear skies are converted to heavy clouds in no time.
A place where rains are in abundance, Cherrapunji is blessed with many beautiful falls like NohKaLikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls and Dainthlen Falls. Other than the waterfalls, you will also find the very famous Living root bridges in the forests of Sohra.
After riding around Cherrapunji we left to go back to our hotel in Shillong for the night.
