What you’re watching here isn’t just a belt graduation.
It’s the result of 12 weeks of intentional development.
At Sidekicks, we don’t build our program around belts alone. We build it around skills—eight specific skills for each age group that support your child physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
Years ago, we made a decision to stop hoping kids would “pick up” confidence, focus, or self-control just by showing up to class.
Instead, we flipped the model.
We asked:
• What does a kindergartner actually need to develop?
• What should a 2nd or 3rd grader be learning right now?
• What does real progress look like at each stage?
Then we built the martial arts around those answers.
In this testing, you’ll see drills that look simple on the outside.
What’s happening underneath is focus, courage, timing, emotional control, and decision-making being trained on purpose.
Progress doesn’t always look like a leap.
Sometimes it looks like showing up, trying again, and being brave enough to stay in it.
That counts.
Every student you see here passed their test, but more importantly, they showed us growth.
Thank you to the families who trust us with your kids. You’re not just enrolling them in an activity—you’re investing in who they’re becoming.
