নারী সংস্কার কমিশনের বিতর্কিত ও সাংঘর্ষিক বিষয়গুলো পর্যালোচনার জন্য বিশেষজ্ঞ কমিটি গঠনের নির্দেশনা চেয়ে, হাইকোর্টে রিট দায়ের করা হয়েছে। রিটে, নারী সংস্কার কমিশনের প্রস্তাবিত বিতর্কিত বিষয়গুলোর বৈধতা চ্যালেঞ্জ করা হয়েছে। রোববার, সু্প্রিম কোর্টের আইনজীবী রওশন আলী এ রিট দায়ের করেন। নারী পুরুষের সমান উত্তরাধিকার, বহুবিবাহ নিষিদ্ধ করা, যৌনকর্মীদের পেশাকে বৈধতা দেয়ার প্রস্তাবসহ বেশ কয়েকটি সুপারিশকে ইসলামী শরীয়া ও জনগণের ধর্মীয় অনুভূতির পরিপন্থি উল্লেখ করা হয়।

A writ petition has been filed in the High Court seeking directions to form an expert committee to review the controversial and conflicting issues of the Women's Reform Commission. The writ challenged the validity of the controversial issues proposed by the Women's Reform Commission. Supreme Court lawyer Rawshan Ali filed the writ petition on Sunday. Several recommendations, including equal inheritance for men and women, banning polygamy, and legalizing the profession of sex workers, were said to be against Islamic Sharia and the religious sentiments of the people.
