I first wrote “The Circle Is Broken” about a year ago, but this version comes from a much deeper place. It was rewritten on behalf of my mom and dad, who both lost their parents many years ago and have carried that quiet grief ever since.
On December 4, 2025, our family lost my mom’s brother — a loss that reopened old wounds and reminded us how fragile and precious family truly is. Watching that pain, the memories, and the love that never fades is what led me to rewrite this song into what you hear now.
This isn’t just about loss — it’s about the empty chairs, the stories that live on, and the faith that one day the circle will be whole again. It’s for everyone who is missing someone tonight, and for the families still holding on to love across generations.
