Hello Friends! Welcome back! Last week I saw my friend Lee from Masse Art Studio do a Dutch Pour in a Sunburst pattern with a Quinacridone Burnt Orange basecoat, and I really wanted to do it again with that same basecoat color, with a flaming hot color palette. I am using a 20 inch round Convexo canvas and my Makita Mini Leafblower with Progressive Trigger. Let's get started!

Amsterdam Titanium White

Quinacridone Burnt Orange
Nickel Azo Gold
Indian Yellow Hue

Pouring Medium:
Liquitex Gloss Medium
Paint + a bit of Water
Floetrol
GAC800 in basecoat only
There is NO Silicone
in Any of My Paint

These are the rest of my paints from Gemstone Waterfall, mixed with my usual recipe, but I added a lot of water to thin them out.
I begin by laying down a basecoat of Golden's Quinacridone Burnt Orange. Then I put down rings of my colors in a bullseye pattern. I use my Makita Leafblower to blow the colors out towards the edge in a Sunburst pattern. I originally saw Molly from Mollys Artistry do this pattern and then I did it in Wreckless Abandon, on a 30 inch round Convexo canvas. Lee Masse used that Quinacridone Burnt Orange color when he visited me at Christmas (you can see it in our "Who's Pour Is It Anyway?" episode) and its been in his head since then.. When I say that we all inspire each other in the pouring community I am not kidding LOL
Lee used some of the 24K gold to create some beautiful cells in the center of his pour, and I used that same trick to create cells in the center of mine. There are some really gorgeous cells around the perimeter of this piece! My only issue with this piece is that I wish I had used another layer of the Blue Green to create more contrast in the center. I do really like the way this one turned out, I really love these colors.
