Day 1 of our Xandiwa Taiwan adventure! We started at 3AM at NAIA Terminal 1 for our 6:45AM flight, enjoying lounge breakfast before our quick 2-hour flight to Taoyuan Airport.
After arriving at Hotel Papa Whale near Ximending, we explored the vibrant streets, grabbed lunch at a local kitchenette, and took the Taipei Metro (with our new EasyCards!) to visit our classmate doing missionary work at a Catholic parish.
The day ended with heartfelt sharing, singing Salve Regina just like old times, and celebrating with draft beers at the hotel bar. Tomorrow: Maokong, Yehliu, Shifen, and Jiufen!
