The Queen On Main is your first stop to experience as you check in with our super easy self check-in key pad. Here you get to enjoy the privacy of a premiere, luxury, historic home as your overnight accommodations. Beautifully done, the collection of antiques and artifacts are era correct for the 1895 - 1920 unique experience The Queen On Main has become famous for. "Romantic, warm, inviting, a place to relax, comfortable, home, elegant luxury, memorable, better than the photos" are all descriptions from our visitors.

One you have experienced The Queen On Main there are two wine tasting rooms within walking distance and about a minute from the front porch. Award winning, Turkevich and Berryessa Gap wineries provide excellent choices in their wines. If beer is your thing there are three choices: Just across the crosswalk is Hooby's that serves up a variety along with some creative food items. They also serve wine. Or you can walk across the bridge to Green River Brewing and Tap House and Restaurant. They have an indoor and outdoor venue right on Putah Creek. They bring in some pretty well known bands from time to time. Thursday evenings, during spring and summer, you can sit on the front porch, sip your favorite beverage and enjoy live music from across the street (kitty corner) at the park gazebo. Hop in your car or bicycle about 2 miles up highway 128 and you will find Berryessa Gap's second tasting room and winery but also Berryessa Brewing Company which is an award winning brewery. It's a lot of fun in their relaxed covered outdoor venue. Plan it right (check their web site) and you can enjoy some pretty cool tunes with their variety of live music.

Winters is known for their world class fine dining. Less than a minute you have several options for off the chart food! Buckhorn Steakhouse has been a favorite for decades. They grow their own beef and their produce is fresh local sourced. They do an outstanding job in every aspect- decor is in a historic 1800's building. They have a saloon and "The DeVilbiss Room" which is along the lines of a speakeasy with live music. Preserve is another unique offering for fine dining. The building is amazing located in a historic building with unique interior decor. The food is off the charts and all locally sourced for freshness. They also have a cool uniquely designed bar- again the decor alone is amazing but when you add their "product" this places nails it! Italian food? Has Winters got you covered there! Carboni's is fine Italian dining in a beautiful modern decor. The dishes they produce are... well if you love Italian this is a 10! You won't be disappointed. All three of these restaurants have outdoor seating as well which is a fun way to experience Winters! Other fine dining establishments:
Chuey's Mexican Food has a unique Hispanic decor and they serve generous portions of traditional Mexican dishes. Their outdoor seating is very nice with plants.
Putah Creek Cafe has a wonderful selection breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their pizza is prepared in a brick pizza oven and is fantastic! They serve up with a full bar.
Ficelle is creative, charming eatery with a patio, offering Spanish, Californian & Mexican influenced chef prepared dishes. Their Sangria is "world famous"!
Chinese food at Oceans is generous and really good.
Steady Eddy's is popular for coffee, baked goods - breakfast sandwiches and lunches are served with indoor and outdoor seating. All within 1 minute of The Queen On Main.
Pizza Factory, Round Table, Subway, and fast food establishments are on the fringes of town. Winters has got the food covered!

The outdoors! Lake Solano is excellent for experiencing a host of outdoor activities: bicycling, hiking, fishing a designated State of California Wildlife Trout Habitat, kayaking, notorious bird watching! Bring a lunch and enjoy Lake Solano Park! Lake Solano is 2 miles west of town.
If boating, water sports and fishing is your game, Winters is the gateway to the Lake Berryessa Region. Lake Berryessa is about 9 miles west of Winters and is approximately 22 miles long and is 3-4 miles wide with many "nooks and crannies" to explore.

Annual events: Winters is notorious for it's 3rd of July Firework's display. Words don't do it justice- a must do event! Each December Winters hosts the "world famous" Tractor Parade. This free event has become an annual icon that draws in visitors by the thousands.
