We then upgrade our gear in the shops, before leaving town and learning all about Djinn from Echo, a Venus Djinn. Finally, we find the two children in the Shrine of the Sea God, but unfortunately there's nothing we can do for them at the moment.

There are seven hidden treasures in the town of Daila: A Smoke Bomb, a Sleep Bomb, 3 Coins, 12 Coins, an Herb, a Psy Crystal, and the Sea God's Tear. The latter two items are unobtainable until later in the game. The Smoke and Sleep Bombs are fairly useless and can be sold for decent money early on.

Echo is a Djinn, one of many Djinni in the game. Following its tutorial will explain how Djinn work, but here' a summary as well. Each Djinn is located in a set location throughout the game, some of which require solving puzzles to obtain, while others need to be defeated. Each Djinn has a specific ability that can be used in battle, and upon using them, they will go into standby and turn Red in name. When you have 1 to 4 Djinn in standby, you can then use Summons in battle to deal heavy damage to your enemies. However, after using a Summon, the Djinn used will begin recovering and will have Yellow names. These Djinn will eventually Set themselves back to normal after a few turns. When a Djinn is set to an Adept, they will gain a boost to many stats, and possibly even learn new abilities. You can also put many Djinn in standby before a battle to bring out Summons instantly, but this is risky as your stats will be dropped without the Djinn!
