WHO AM I

My name is Stella Swan. I’m originally from the UK and have called Australia home since 2001. I’ve been married to Steve for 38 years, and together we’ve raised three grown-up children.

I am a fully qualified clinical therapist with both a degree and a Master’s in Counselling, and over 10,000 one-to-one client hours. My journey began more than 30 years ago when I became a Samaritan in the UK, and since then I’ve dedicated my life to supporting people through their most difficult moments.

I created this YouTube channel to reach those who may never walk into a therapy room — whether because of money, time, fear, pride, or simply not knowing where to begin.
I specialise in trauma, addiction, couples therapy, depression, anxiety, grief, and loss — and after three decades in this field, there are very few experiences I haven’t worked with.

My approach is simple: I don’t just focus on symptoms; I focus on the drives underneath them.
Why do we act the way we do?
What is the wound behind the behaviour?
I believe that when we heal the root, we change naturally and organically.

I draw on a wide range of therapeutic modalities, years of study, and my own lived experience and recovery journey. My purpose is to help people heal their wounds so they can step into the person they truly want to be — not the one they were conditioned or programmed to become.
My hope is that you learn to live life on your terms.
