Pizza Sticks/Pizza on a stick/Pizza skewers

PIZZA STICKS:
Total time : 40 minutes prep time 15 minutes cook time 25 minutes
Ingredients:
2 Cups all purpose flour
1 1/3 cups warm water
1 tsp sugar
1.5 tbsp active yeast
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp olive oil
1/3 cup flour for dusting/kneading
1 cup mozzarella cheese,grated
1/3 cup corn,frozen
1/3 cup peas, frozen
1/3 cup capsicum red or orange,finely chopped.
3 tbsp fresh oregano ,finely chopped or dry
1/2 cup pizza sauce
10 skewers or as needed.
Method:
To make a pizza dough, first add warm water in a bowl along with yeast and sugar,mix well and rest for 15 minutes or until it had doubled in volume and looks frothy.
In a different bowl add flour,salt olive oil and the yeast mixture and combine;until flour mixture comes together.
Now dust the work surface with good amount of flour and knead the dough until smooth.
Cover and keep dough in a warm place for 1 hour or until dough doubled in size.
Soak the skewers in cold water for at-least 30 minutes to avoid burning of the sticks.
Now again dust the work surface with generous amount of flour and knead the dough for 3 minutes.Dough should not be too sticky or too dry.
Divide dough into equal size balls.
Start rolling into a triangle shapes.
Place the skewers on both edges of rolled pizza dough; now bring both ends together in the center and pressing gently.
Roll it with the rolling pin to press the skewers into dough.
Place the prepared pizza sticks in a baking sheet and spread with pizza sauce ,then oregano, and mixed vegetables (use any vegetables you may prefer or even meat).
Finally spread generous amount of cheese and bake it at 350 degree F preheated oven for 25 minutes.
Notes:
1. Use whole wheat flour if you prefer.
2. use desired toppings like meat or chicken or different vegetables.
3. If the yeast mixture has not doubled or looks frothy then do not attempt to make dough.start fresh again.
