In this video, we explore how much of a DPS difference CP points make on your DPS. This is a question with a fairly muddled answer, so hopefully this video can help to shed some light.
For my CP distribution, I did one parse with the appropriate number of Mage CPs, then used Constellations to optimize my CP based on that parse. I then averaged 3 parses together and calculated percent differences between each CP checkpoint.
One thing to consider is that because of jump points, it's not as easy as saying that x CP is equal to y percent increase!
