In today's video we are going to see the temple of Lord sri Manik Prabhu in Humnabad. He is the 3rd avatar of datta family. Manik prabhu's father is Manohar Nayak and mother is Bhaya devi. Their favourite deity is lord Narasimha Saraswati. They didn't have children so they did parayana of Guru Chaitra for 16 years and lord Dattatreya appeared before them. The couple asked a boon to lord Datta of a child like him to be born. Soon the couple gave birth to Manik Prabhu. There is an Audumbur tree in the temple premises where Manik Prabhu did his meditation. You can see his samadhi and also samadhi of his generation. There is a river called sangam nearby. Vengamma devi is a disciple of Manik prabhu maharaj. She played a vital role in developing the sansthan of Manik prabhu. When she got samadhi OM sound was coming out of the tomb, on seeing this Manik prabhu told his devotees to built a temple over the tomb. Manik prabhu charitra is a book written in detail about him.
