I'm a video creator who helps people with YouTube video creation and publishing, training, tips, techniques, tutorials, and video backgrounds.

I've got some great news for you today! This is the first in a series of five videos to help you create vertical video ads with animations to capture attention online.

Today is number one in the series and it's for cafe owners who want to make video ads, but are worried or fearful they cannot do it themselves. I'd love to help you do this, and show you it's not as difficult as you may have originally thought :-)

I'm using my imaginary cafe, which I call MartianCoffeeBeans.mars

I begin all of my video projects with a folder on my laptop, which is numbered and named.

◼︎ Wondering what a Vertical Video is?◼︎

Great question! There are many people who have asked me this :-)

Once upon a time in a land far, far away ... no! Oops! Just kidding :-)

Videos have traditionally been "sideways" or horizontal, to match the shape of TVs and theatre and cinema screens.

With the arrival of better smart phones and great technology, many people started watching more videos on their phones, and didn't want to turn the phone sideways, so some clever possums came up with Vertical (or Tall, or Portrait vides) so the phone didn't have to be turned on its side.

This opened up a world of possibilities to view videos in a Tall format, leaving room ("real estate") at the top and bottom to add Headlines, animated captions and much more.

Now we can create fantastic Vertical Videos using video editing software on our computers and other devices, and even Canva!
