Once you get in the habit of letting them do their own play thing without entertaining them, your life gets a whole lot easier.
Does that mean that I abandon or ignore them? Of course not. It simply means allowing them the space to find joy in their own doings instead of me directing it. My job is caring for them. Their job is learning through play.
