Introducing the UK's first PMx2e Fully Battery-Powered Pile Driving Rig!

Описание: Junttan is proud to mark a historic milestone in sustainable construction: the first fully battery-powered pile driving rig ever to operate in the UK. In partnership with Roger Bullivant Limited and Morgan Sindall Construction, our PMx2e rig has completed its first project at Ardrossan Community Campus – setting a new standard for low-carbon delivery.

Powered by a 392 kWh battery system, the PMx2e produces zero local CO₂ emissions and runs with minimal noise, making it an ideal solution for sensitive and urban environments. On this pioneering project, 581 driven steel tubular piles were installed through challenging reclaimed ground, ensuring a strong and sustainable foundation for the new campus. Importantly, the project also incorporated repurposed steel and an electric forklift for material handling.

This is more than just a project - it’s a major step forward for Junttan and the entire UK piling industry. The PMx2e showcases how innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand, paving the way for a cleaner, quieter, and more efficient future in foundation construction.
