Big steps for the Belgian Army

Описание: Yesterday, the Belgian Army took an important step forward during an official ceremony at the Cinquantenaire. The current Motorised Brigade is making way for the re-establishment of two brigades: the 1st Brigade and the 7th Brigade. 🎖️

The 1st Brigade, headquartered in Leopoldsburg, builds on the legacy of the legendary Brigade Piron. The 7th Brigade returns to Marche-en-Famenne and has a history dating back to the First World War. 🫡

This new structure strengthens our readiness and meets NATO commitments, supported by modern capabilities such as the CaMo vehicles. All units remain in their current locations but operate within a more efficient and robust brigade structure.

Together, we are building a strong, modern and deployable Army. 💪
