Based out of Cultus Lake in the Coastal Fire Centre, the Fraser Unit Crew brings extensive experience fighting wildfires in challenging terrain.
In this video, crew members Brody Archibald and Braeden Milne reflect on their deployment to Vancouver Island. Initially assigned to the Wesley Ridge (V71145) wildfire, the crew were quickly reassigned when the Mount Underwood (V71498) incident emerged nearby. What began as an effort to contain fire spread along the northwest flank has since transitioned to suppression operations on the east flank.
